Wow, Famitsu only gave it a 32? They even gave Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z and Ninja Gaiden 3 a 34. XD
I didn't know it was still possible to get less than a 34 from them.
I think everyone saw it flopping, except for those people that will literally defend everything about a game. First wasn't good and they completely ignored feedback from the first game, both on the actual gameplay and the roster.
Well, it's also not surprising that the novelty of major crossovers has slowly worn off over there in Japan. I wouldn't be so surprised if PXZ2 will do significantly better overseas, especially here in the US since crossovers are all the rage to the American gaming audience these days.
The only cool thing was they added Axel, Break and Robo X from Strets of Rage.
And Axel Stone... 'nuff said.
It's unfortunate that there was alot of potential stuff they could have just done with Axel and all the other new characters alone instead of cramming on questionable characters. I still question why Natsu and Hibana instead of the more popular Taki and Joe Musashi. Hell, Axel and Haggar could've been an amazing pairing and have me and a whole lot of beat'em-up fans sold with just that.
But then again the gameplay is more of the same fluff from the first with some few new faces and swapped boss roles, so yeah. A "meh" for me.
