More Akuma nerfs. XD
Too bad it's too late for the him being canon shit.

Poongko will keep winning with Akuma.
I heard he's already stated he's dropping the game soon, so that will be kind of hard. No one gives a shit about Akuma already.

The Goddess of Rochefort went into total domination mode for her gender this month taking tops in both.
Master Raven's new character smell wore off, and staying in tune with previous releases, her players went back to Lili. I guess once you go black, you want Lili to take you back.

Poor Bob, he really only was a tier whore machine.
Poor Nina in Korea..... We want Anna. *clap clap*
Leo had a random surge this month.

"Clearly Ling doesn't have enough movies, enough crossovers, enough merchandise! We didn't promote Chloe enough! MORE, MORE, MOAR! *cries into Idol Master pillow*"

Also if you didn't read the last interview of him I posted, he used cosplaying they find on the internet as a example of "one of the things we use for popularity for roster selection" in addition to fan art. First time he ever said that, and I think we know why....
Which itself is a funny excuse given that a lot of the more famous cosplayers don't even play/watch the source material of the stuff they're cosplaying.

True. Also, among the main reasons why characters get chosen to be cosplayed and portrayed in fanarts, there are whether they are easy to draw/their costumes are easy to make, and if they are immediately recognisable. That they are cute and/or sexy is another factor (like anything else that draws attention).
All the above, regardless of the characters' actual popularity.

Indeed. My friend told me awhile back that she saw Jessica Nigri with a Kotobukiya Asuka Kazama statue she bought, because she was "cute and sexy" yet couldn't even name the game Asuka was from. I also saw Jessica later cosplaying Lili (the Shunya pink outfit with midriff version that was made into a statue) in a cosplay collection from a con posted on a site, so I assume she had got Lili's Kotobukiya statue for the same reason.

As expected, Kuma and Panda are in over all those pesky requested characters.
http://www.siliconera.com/2016/12/10/tekken-7-adds-kuma-panda-online-arcade-tournament-mode-console/

Panda will be own slot and have her own rage art and shit.
Memba when they justified no Anna because they were focused on "no clones"?
I memba!

In some cool news. King gets Okada from New Japan Pro Wrestling stuff!

I'm sure many were waiting for Kuma and Panda to be readded to Tekken XD.

Oh~, Okada! I remember seeing him in Japanese news about Ryu ga Gotoku 6, videogame companies seem to like him a lot, lately.

No wonder other Japanese wrestlers besides Okada will be featured in Ryu ga Gotoku 6, then.
I remember watching a video where all of them were shown recording lines for their characters and talking a bit about their experience with the game.
It would be nice if one of them was featured in a fighting game too, even better if with their signature moves. I would love to have a fighting game character created after Devil Masami, ahah.

I think it's now second biggest promotion after WWE. 2 out of 3 of WWE's current top champions (Smackdown and NXT) were New Japan top guys they brought in this year.

New customs being added.
http://www.tekken-official.jp/tk7frac/201612sp/

Got a new unique set, which is fairly generic. Lots of casual stuff, Akuma gets a appropriate outfit, Rock Ogre Jack, Bob gets something to make him look even more silly, and Yoshi gets like the most horrible outfit in the history of outfits.
Fanservice for most the females except Raven and Alisa. Asuka's is basically a sexier version of her default, bleh. Lili gets super fanservice with bonus fetishservice.
http://www.tekken-official.jp/tk7frac/images/201612sp/item/img_item01_16.jpg
This games feet is not Tekken 6 tier that's for sure.

Also another set, but it's just the defaults with new patterns and some textures changes. Bleh!
http://www.tekken-official.jp/tk7frac/images/201612sp/item/img_item02_16.jpg

Then you got some new items and shit like Roger's head and panda hats.

What can I say, some of the new costumes are nice, some others make me think more and more that Namco should hire better designers. Part of those are hideous beyond redemption or don't fit the characters they have been assigned to.

The second set (default + new patterns/textures) offers some interesting changes and other questionable ones.  By the way, various characters are joining now the skull trend, I see XD.

Shark head Yoshi, just awful..just awful.
Lili really shows there designers creativity though. *Makes more casual focused set. Lili's fashionable and her original 1P was a fancy corset, jeans, sneakers combo for street fights..... Best idea is making her only character with a fancy exclusive bikini* XD
Still a step up from Asuka, who's customs come in about as much variety as a open world game from Ubisoft.

Between the skull and crossbones and the eyepatch, all Hwoarang needs now is a peg leg and Orlando Bloom.

Please don't say that, Dusk, Namco designers could hear you XD.

As for Lili, I still think the nicest and most suitable of her outfits is her debut main one.
Shark head Yoshimitsu is even more awful than Hwoarang's shark-shaped footwear.

Her signature white dress? Everything about that outfit was perfect, even the colors are Monaco flag themed.

Yes, the one she is wearing in your signature animated gif, and indeed it was perfect.
First of all, it's very nice itself. Second, its style suits Lili perfectly. Third, it's cute and frilly yet not unfit for fighting.

Obvious notes are Jaycee and Eliza being featured in the set with 2 stickers. Miharu, Jun, and Moku also appear with 1.

DLC datamined.....

Quote
Both DLC characters have some placeholder files in the game.

The first character has some sort of meter system like Eliza and Akuma, so either another SF character as expected, or another 2D fighter character. (SNK? Harada has talked about Samurai Shodown, and likes Geese.)

Swimsuits, Idolmaster cosplay, and school uniforms will be DLC, despite all already being in the arcade version for quite awhile.

Tekken Bowl is the $10 DLC game mode.

All of the PS4's exclusive content is still in the data for other versions, hinting at either timed exclusivity or eventual DLC.

So looks like I was right on Harada and his SJW comments about bikinis, he was in fact using them as a preemptive scapegoat to justify locking out already completed arcade content to be DLC for the console version, and it was more than just them. Pretty funny too given that the character exclusive bikinis are still included as unlockables so he can stick to his original excuse.

Then as expected the DLC mode is in fact them charging for a previous game mode that was free content in 2 previous games, despite them saying it would be all new.  So much for DLC "not already being in development". Expected after the metallic costumes and Eliza bs, who by the way appears in treasure battle before you even download her (I've even unlocked customs for her without downloading her).

Edit: Also....

Everyone does, seems to be the biggest complaint of the game after PS4's week long busted matchmaking (half assed arcade and character episodes aren't making people happy either). They really botched the content on this game.

Based on how many people don't understand how to deal with rage arts, and don't know a low will knock someone out of a rage art if it hits, this game desperately needed a tutorial.

I think it's sad very few new fighting games these days manage to include a tutorial mode as extensive as Virtua Fighter 4 Evo's, a game released 15 years ago. I mean Tekken doesn't change all that much from game to game, but it would be nice for players like me that aren't hardcore Tekken players and newer players to help get more into the game.

Also the load times are god awful. They delayed the game to address this issue, and it's still pretty bad.

Or just wanting to learn a new character. I got Lili down pretty fast, however subbing Nina was a chore finding out what does what as there was no character tutorials. It's kind of messed up that DOA5LR, one of the most casual of the traditional fighters, has the best tutorial of the modern fighters, yet harder fighters have something either basic or jack shit.

Eurogamer did a comparison using the Jungle stage. I think load times were 20 seconds on PC, 21 seconds on PS4, 24 seconds on PS4 Pro (how the hell do you screw up so much that the more powerful version of a certain hardware loads it slower?), and 40 seconds on X1.

At least you don't have to deal with the intentional imput lag exclusive to PS4 that Harada refuses to change because "casuals don't care about input lag" which is also his same excuse for Tekken being one of the few fighters without frame data in practice mode. I mean even Injustice 2 has frame data in practice mode......

This game really has killed any respect I have for Harada. His love afair with Ono/Capcom isn't helping.

Edit: He's now saying on twitter input lag will be tweaked next update, however he's saying it's only a issue on certain pads, which is an outright lie....
Edit 2: Now he's blaming UE4.

Agreed, this makes more complex characters quite hard to learn and leaves you clueless to how to use them.

One thing that I still think it would have helped to get a basic feel for some characters without having to go as deep as VF4:Evo's training was the command training Tekken DR had on the PSP to do some moves including combos in random order, that alone helped me a lot to learn Dragunov. Sure you can do it on Practice mode but having to change the moves on display manually and having no indicator if you did the move right is a pain in the ass. Lot of fighting games seem to drop the ball here on teaching the basic stuff.

Sales are at 1.66 million according to Namco's last finacial report. It's selling better than Tag 2 but looks to be the worst selling main numbered entry, and looks like it will be the first to fail to sale 3 million.

Ono 2, I mean Harada, and Tekken Team in particular are very outdated, and Harada just comes up with the dumbest of excuses for not including this stuff and frame data. "Casuals don't care." "People will use it to complain about balance."
Still wonder what his excuse is for no vs CPU in versus mode, even SoulCalibur has this.

Also for anyone that's not been keeping up, the first DLC pack in the season pass includes the costumes missing from the arcade version as expected, and also unsurpisingly Harada's girls Alisa and Xiaoyu get more costumes than everyone else, because who cares about those more popular characters or that FR/console version characters have barely any unique customs compared to 7.0 characters right?
