it's hard to belive that a game has poor netplay only on one console. even harder if you consider that the same developer released three games based on the same netcode that run perfectly

Apparently PQube are releasing it for the UK, and are ATM aiming for a Late August/Early Sept. release, so hopefully that'll go through @3@

A heads for anyone who has a JP PS3; Asia region will work on it, I have a friend who has a JPN PS3 and owns the Asia ver. of the game.

Persona 4: Arena fastest selling fighting game in Japan in the last four years

Read : http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2012/aug/01/persona-4-arena-fastest-selling-fighting-game-japan-last-four-years/

Now the question, why Aksys games are more popular than SNK games?! KOF XIII has all the successful elements but didn't sell very well in Japan like Persona 4: Arena.

persona 4 is a popular rpg and animation series. you can't really compare with other fighting games because it can sell to everybody addicted to the persona 4 universe.

why can't kof sell as well as bb? that's hard to say, but in my opinion street fighter was always the direct rival of kof, not gg or bb, so in my opinion snk should have choosen the sf4 way instead of redrawing sprites.

another good question is "why atlus choose arc system instead of snk for developing a 2d fighter even with the recent kof xiii collaboration?"

- I though that Street Fighter fans are jealous because SNK created KOFXII/XIII with 2D sprites, I have no problem to see another 3D KOF title !

- About your question, I believe that Akysys is very creative company. you can see that Akysys brings unique ideas to their games, like characters designs, backgrounds, etc ... the atmosphere of their games is lovely ! the other reason why Atlus selected Akysys is because they are creating their games fast and in HD resolution, for this generation of consoles they released BlazBlue and Persona 4 Arena in a period of 4 years, 2 games in 4 years, while SNK took about 5 years to finish a complete product which is KOF XIII, we can't consider KOF XII as a complete game, also SNK suffered from the negative feedbacks of their online mode, while everybody said that the online mode of BlazBlue is super ! that's all Smiley

Now the question, why Aksys games

If ASW games are more popular, why have all the BlazBlue tournaments have such shitty turn outs and wasn't even at Evo this year?

Also, keep in mind that those sales are the entire BlazBlue franchises sales combined, so of course it seems like more, when really, it isn't.

Finally, Persona 4 Arena is supposed to act like an official sequel to the story of the game, Persona 4 is a pretty successful RPG, maybe one of the most popular of the Persona series, of course it's gonna sell well. People that aren't even fans of fighting games are gonna buy it.

Obviously because ASW does the whole "anime fighter" thing with air dashes and shit, SNK does more traditional style fighting games.

Also, Atlus only published KOFXIII in the USA.

If anyone was following up Wednesday Night Fight by Leveluplive last night, there was a total of 88 people for P4A and 35 people for SFIV. Thats pretty impressive

Good to see that the 360 version's netplay issues are now resolved. I was getting worried about that side of the community.

Oh, and new combo video by Persona.

Congrats to P4U for winning the Spike VGA for best fighting game.

Here's hoping that we will see the game in EVO given that past VGA winners for best fighter were main games as well. Examples include SCIV (2008, but was featured in EVO 2009), SFIV (2009), and MK9 (2011).
