The "rehashed games" comment was a more general one, and it included also those "updates" in the form of "new" games that videogame companies more and more often release. Does it seem so hard to release a full game (some small glitches and bugs are understandable) nowadays, instead of a half-baked game just to release a new, improved, version of it within a small amount of time?
As for "don't buy it if you don't like it", of course people who don't like something don't buy it, there's nothing to grasp. But the meaning of forums is also to discuss and express not-so-enthusiastic opinions (sure, in a respectful manner).
The only problem with the last part of this is that people don't just express generally bad or non enthusiastic opinions on forums. They tend to take shots at people, completely down a product because its not something they want, and remark in a snide manner how they either have a local scene, arcade, or IRL friends to play an older couple of a re-release of a game.
As for the thing I said about not buying it if you don't like it, people can't use common sense on the internet most times. Even if they know such a simple fact they tend to get overly upset about a company having the gall to make a game they have made before in the past. Rather than express they dislike and be cool. They almost always immediately start with random crap like "Its not manly enough", "Its pedo bait", or that old gem "They are taking our money and giving us however many year old game! Fuck em!!"
When its just easier to say, "I don't like and here is why I don't like it."; and then just have a discussion rather than the time old game of flame baiting and griefing. Common Sense so rare its a god damn super power.
