Okay I'm calling it now, Pandora is the dumbest game mechanic ever!

Just got back from cousins since he was wanting to play SFxT. Played a few matches online and on the last match I played, it was the last round, and I was pretty confident I was about to win. Playing a Akuma (had his other character, Kazuya, down to low health) and he did a knockdown and I hit down to do a fast get up and the dipstick did a raw hurricane kick, since I had full meter I decided to counter with a cross art (raw cross art from Lili with Juri on reserve is 450, which was enough to put his Akuma to around 20% health left), welp since I had just hit down and then hit down when doing the quarter circle motion for a cross art, out comes pandora instead (why the fuck does pandora motion have priority over cross art or cross assault?). Was able to land Juri's super, but was too late, pandora ran out and I lost the match even though I was winning! Juri had full health to top it off. Angry

First time I have had a overblown and over dramatic rage over a loss in a long ass time. Okay I think I got all my bitchyness out over it. Cheesy

I used pandora after my opponent used that too, I instant win because he died first lol

Should be no Pandora peroid.

Power up modes are stupid.

KOF is no stranger to those either. Remember Counter and Armor mode? trolololol.

After Pandora and X-Factor, I'm starting to miss 99 and 00's lame ass Counter and Armor mode with there needing full stock to use glory.

Yes too much complaining, people should be happy that dumb design decisions constantly hamper what is at its core a moderatly fun game. Roll Eyes

At least characters aren't tied to freaking ratios this time, with there moveset needlessly being split into a normal and EX version. There, I gave the game a compliment.

Its not about that, its just that when the hell are we actually going to discuss this game ?

We get it already, the game isn't like by people over here, etc etc etc. However, for those who do, why aren't there any discussions ? No thread in the capcom area yet, no character specific strategies and what not. This isn't SFxT thread, its SFxT hate thread, might as well call it that and let some have their fun here while the ones who care about it make a thread in the capcom area to actually discuss the game.

Pandora is shit, it is the shittiest most horrendous thing that i have ever seen in my LIFE, No denying that. Gems ... honestly, aside from the assist gems ... they have no earth shattering impact.

Other sites are drenched in videos, strategies and discussions, we should do the same.

People ARE discussing the game, they're discussing what they don't like about it.
Those who do like the game are free to start whatever character or strategy debates/discussions they want.

The problem is, we can't start making threads for people who do and people who don't like something.
Look at how polarizing BlazBlue is, there are many here who hate it with a passion and some who really like it, but it all falls under the same banner.

While I completely agree that pissy arguments and bitching should stop and complaints need to be constructive, I bought SFxT on 360 and it has broken bugs online and such that are beyond belief, bugs that have had no confirmed fix yet.
As such, I feel ripped off and conned, this, ON TOP of all the DLC controversy is a big issue, so negative or not, it needs to be discussed.

I'm not siding for or against anyone, and I fully back M_Cs call to stop bitchy comments and pissy one-line arguments. M_C is generous enough to call it "passive-aggressive" where as I call some of it straight up trolling.
But, it is a fact, not opinion, that the game has actual technical faults, and as such these issues should be brought to the forefront, especially for those who arent lucky enough to get games for dirt cheap (as I do) and want their $60 or whatever they spent justifying.

As an important addendum, I LIKE SFxT, I like its visuals, love its roster and think Capcom did a pretty good job at integrating two completely different game styles, I think the game is fun to play, especially in local VS.
But that fun, for me, is tainted by the BS, the unbearable sound bug, the 360s "missing mode" and smaller roster, the piss-poor "Pay to win" gem system and the aforementioned DLC fiasco, which is possibly the most controversial since DLC began.
All that stuff takes precedence over the good points, as it comes across as crooked and sneaky.

No-one would be bitching if these problems didnt exist, well, ok, they would, because people bitch about anything but it probably wouldnt be so spiteful and vitrioled.
Essentially, Capcom are the reason I'm having problems with this game, their business model and their current habit of releasing buggy games have tainted what was for me, a much anticipated release.

TL/DR: I agree, It is a shame this thread is so negative, but Capcom shouldnt have F****d over people's wallets and shouldn't have put out a game that was broken as hell (I don't mean that in an EVO way, but in an actual "faulty game" way)

i know the game has issues, but i just want there to be a mature thought out discussion about it. Im still using Vecta as my example, he came here and stated his opinion and it sounded like it was an opinion, so no one even wanted to reply because it was respectful. It wasn't a one line thing where he said "oh the game sucks", thats that. Same could be said about bear, His comments weren't an attack on anyone's opinion, they were his own opinion about the game. Also, it seems that the bitchiness, complains and ranting has completely overshadowed any form of discussion about it. I don't want to go to SRK or Eventhubs to get this kinda news, i wanna find it here on cx where i actually WANT to be.

Now back to Dusk's awesome video.

I didn't know you could do that with lili O_O ... so many things i didn't even know could happen actually can be done. Gonna have to pay closer attention to pressure and anti air punish from now on xD. Lovely video btw dusk.

Got anymore ?

I think on the smaller roster and such on the 360, I don't think that issue is fair to put blame on Capcom.

If Microsoft gave a shit about any games on their system that weren't Halo, Gears or Kinect related maybe they'd have tried harder to work with Capcom on having guest characters but like Mortal Kombat before it, Microsoft just aren't interested.

Not letting them off on the other stuff mind you, but that one issue I think is out of Capcom's hands.

(Edit OLUK: You're right Hybrid, so fair play. But, pedantism aside, the 360 roster issue is a minor qualm of mine amongst the very real other issues)

I'm so glad i don't. My money went into better things, fortunately (like a tailor made suit, Silent Hill Downpour, a nice Italian Restaurant and Cherry Coke). Smiley

And it's interesting to see that some people's nightmares can be wet dreams for others. Tongue
