So I'm Going To My First Tournament

I'm gonna be going to a tournament in Syracuse, NY being held at the Sheraton Hotel. They are gonna have SSF4, T6, BBCS and... Rock Paper Scissors (lol wtf)? I'm gonna head out to play some SSF4 and T6. I had no idea there was any scene here in upstate NY. Now that I have my new car, it won't be a problem heading out to these kind of events once in awhile.

I'm looking forward to meet some awesome players face to face for a change, having been an online player for so long since my arcades died out so long ago.

If it's any help I would strongly suggest using a Top tier character for SSF4 and T6.
With BB: CS, just go with Science.

Well I dunno which game would be considered the "main event", but I'd assume SSF4 and T6 are gonna be the ones people will be focused on. T6 has a $300 pot, while SSF4 has a $400 pot I believe.

If it's any help I would strongly suggest using a Top tier character for SSF4 and T6.

I used Honda primarily in SF4, but I've been playing alot with the newer characters in Super, namely Cody and Makoto. But seeing that Honda is higher ranked now in Super, I may just stick with him for the tournament.

In T6, I use Steve, he's up there right? I have no idea what T6's tier list looks like these days.

With BB: CS, just go with Science.

I dunno if I'll play BBCS, I don't have the console version, just the arcade leak.

I'm gonna be practicing for the next two weeks in SSF4 and T6 to prepare. If anyone wants to throw down on PSN, hit me up - RunningWildWolf

You said you liked Bob, no? Really, give him a go since he's still one of the most solid characters in T6BR (got nerfed from vanilla T6 arcade but he's still quite strong).

When I first got Tekken 6 back in February I was playing with Bob quite a bit, but then I got into Steve and I really like the way he plays. I especially love his swaying maneuvers.

If you can direct me to some Steve tips or combo's, I'd appreciate it Vecta.

Good luck, prepare to be owned HARD in SSF4 for Hadoken Spamming and Turtling they know "close-poking" is the easy way to defeat Honda and dont be sad after for "what if I did that" or "I failed that Move" its your first tournament
