How could I forget not to make this thread? Especially when Jan. 4 draws ever closer. To see if TNA's ready to take it to WWE, or to rescind back to being only on Thursdays?

All you wrestling gurus (*ahem* Hybridial), post matches that you deem worthy to be watched. I'll start by putting the first PPV match between Kurt Angle and Desmond Wolfe (bka Nigel McGuiness).

Desmond Wolfe vs Kurt Angle - 1/3

Desmond Wolfe vs Kurt Angle - 2/3

Desmond Wolfe vs Kurt Angle - 3/3

Also, any Botchamanias to be found, I will do my best to post them, provided that Maffew has some good shit to make, which he does.

Bring it.

Wow, Kurt looks thin... I'll watch this match now. Two great wrestlers, although I feel that if I do start, it's going to be like listening to MJ after his death. TNA is already over, and not in the wrestling sense of the word...

Most of my fav. wrestling moments were from when I was a kid, and during The Rock's reign (shut your mouth!), sad to say I'm not enjoying the current WWE stuff =(
BTW if you guys haven't watched the movie The Wrestler, I suggest you do; it makes you look differently at these guys and the stuff they do.

I chose to watch RoH Final Battle 2009... the main event was a total trainwreck, and sad to see that between two solid hands in the ring like Austin Aries and Tyler Black, but there are times for 60 minutes draws and there are times when a 5 minute squash would have been preferable. At this point, I wouldn't blame Black if he went to TNA or WWE, they'd be no more likely to drop the ball with him so bad but at least he'd get paid more.

Match of the night was Kevin Steen and El Generico vs The Young Bucks, great match. The Bucks as some might know just signed with TNA so watch out for them. Moment of the night was The Kings of Wrestling reforming, I look forward to their upcoming tag title dominance.

As for matches to watch, well can't really go wrong with Davey Richards vs Shingo Takagi from the second Dragons Gate USA PPV. Slightly clipped at the start but you don't miss much -

Davey Richards vs Shingo Part 1

Davey Richards vs Shingo Part 2

Davey Richards vs Shingo Part 3

Oh ye of little faith.. I feel that TNA will have a great success tomorrow against RAW. Let's just hope that both WWE and TNA can show some good wrestling tomorrow.

TNA have been doing rather well recently, I just hope Hogan doesn't find a way to wreck that. Tomorrow night should be an interesting night for wrestling.

Let's see who wins in the ratings this Monday.....

WWE Monday Night RAW with Special Host Bret Hart vs. TNA 3 Hour-Special with Hulk Hogan....

Maybe it's time for WWE to drop the PG-13 bullshit and bring back the Attitude Era......bring Masked Kane back!!!!!......

Turning Point was a weird PPV to me. Usually, the "post no. 1 PPV" PPV (i.e. the ones after WM and BFG) are usually throwaway ones that are decent, but forgettable. Turning Point 2009 however is probably the best PPV I've seen all year. Two absolutely brilliant main events that had everything and more (and no botches - the Fosbury Flop wasn't a botch).

WWE PG-13 from a business view works. For wrestling fans however, who want to see wrestling, it doesn't.

Also, RIP "Dr Death" Steve Williams. When you think of truly tough, big and gifted western wrestlers, you were one of the few.

Funny thing I stumbled upon on YouTube. Not Botchamania funny, but ironic in a sense.

Lance Hoyt, I'm sure most people know this, is in ECW as Vance Archer. I thought he'd end up getting the Braden Walker treatment, but surprisingly enough, he's been doing good.

WWE ECW Vance Archer vs Tommy Dreamer

Currently he's in a tournament to win the right to face ECW Champ Christian for his title. Here's hoping he can be used for more than the guy who walks around with a GH controller.

I removed my old post, in order to put my thoughts on what just occurred 20 minutes ago.

TNA Impact and WWE RAW came into Jan. 4th, both flashing out their guns, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart, respectively. While TNA had the advantage of being an hour earlier, it wasn't without mistakes. Personally, I thought that the Steel Asylum match was a great way to kick off Impact... until Homicide started whacking everybody with a baton. The appearance of Jeff Hardy mildly made the situation tolerable.

Then came the Knockout Title match. ODB vs Tara, I assumed it would be a 10 minute delight, but a grab of Tara's tights from ODB, to which led from the most hilarious censorship of trying not to show Tara's ass (Which, by the way, looked good) with a shot of the Steel Asylum from earlier, to ODB being the champ again. Post-match Widow's Peak, I didn't think it was necessary.

Then came Krystal barking into the ring, giving a God-awful promo of saying that Bobby Lashley wants to leave TNA according to her. That promo was not necessary, not even in the worst way.

Then Hogan arrived, with all the promised glitz and glamour he would bring to TNA, and to which, notable people, also came by to appear in Impact. Hall, Waltman, Orlando Jordan, Nasty Boys, Ric Flair, Val Venis playing Strip Poker with the Beautiful People... I was hoping in that moment that Trish might make an appearance there too to join the girls, but it didn't happen, to my dismay.

Bubba the Love Sponge in TNA is actually a good thing, when I think about it. Now JB won't have to be so worn out in interviews, or maybe Christy Hemme.

The surprise title matches of the KO tag titles and the TNA WHC were very pleasing to the eyes. Hamada and Kong, they dominate, 'nuff said. And AJ and Angle gave, quite possibly, the best match to start 2010. I find it displeasing that they promised Beer Money to fight the British Invasion, only to find them lying face down on the floor as victims of a sneak attack, as well with Rhino and the Gunz.

Now on WWE's side, after Bret Hart and HBK buried the hatchet, they really didn't have anything to offer. Maryse vs Brie, who switched with Nikki, was a total disaster. The quality of the match sucked. And this comes from the same WWE creative team that says that Maryse can beat all of the TNA Knockouts.... RIIIIIGHT.

Fatal 4-Way for #1 Contendership of the US title, it was good, but it was bland, too. Good to see MVP is being put back in the spotlight (FINALLY).

The Unified Tag Title match, same old bland crap, and to use Hornswoggle to beat Show and Jericho, that just shows that DX's legacy is to be remembered as guys nearing, or are, in their 40s, who want to do nothing more than act as they were children.

Sheamus vs Evan Bourne, short, mildly eventful, then it went flat after Bourne's finisher didn't put Sheamus away. And to think that if Bourne won, he could've faced Sheamus for the title at RR. I wanted that to happen, but NOOOOO.... WWE doesn't think that Bourne deserves it. Seriously, Bourne has talent up the wazoo, but he's being more and more, relegated to being a jobber.

And then it was Kofi vs Orton, to which, I didn't even bother to see, because the title match between Styles and Angle was more imperative than to find out if Orton stays in Legacy.

But there's one thing that is similar in the conclusion of both these shows; Same shit, different day.

At least TNA tried their hardest, their damned hardest, to make a good impression on a Monday night. Hell, they even gave their ads on the airtime of RAW, as well.

Tomorrow will tell, if it worked, or if it was a tease of bringing back competition between promotions.

I'll watch TNA ASAP. Although I'm bothered by having people like X Fucking Pac, Orlando Jordan, and the Nasty Boys around. I wonder what Brutus Beefcake was doing at the time (getting ready for the next episode?).

Yes, because he's not a heavyweight. He doesn't fit the McMahon criteria for a championship push, or even that much TV time. Unless you're Rey Mysterio or to my absolute disgust, Hornswoggle, if you're small, you won't be on TV long.

The same thing will probably happen to Danielson and Low Ki when they get on TV, which is a real shame.

If WWE can screw up Bourne, Danielson and Ki... it really just proves how fucking petty that company really is. Can't guys just be given the chance to show what they can accomplish? Even Eric Bischoff saw the value in that and thus booked the WCW cruiserweight title as a workrate title before he was forced from the book.

Still... ideal ways to debut Low Ki (as Kaval) and Danielson:

Kaval kicks Hornswaggle's head off. You know you'd want to see it.

And Danielson should start a major student-mentor fued with Shawn Micheals out the gate.
