Here are some screens from the character selection screen ... The Models look stunning. Ayane has never looked better, and Hitomi does seem to look german-ish (true to her heritage) Imo.

Wow, Classic Ninja Gaiden Hayabusa.

Hitomi looks lame with just the tank top, where's that jacket? Looked better with it.

I think its an alt or something, not too sure. But the jacket is there, we saw it in the screenshots.

Well doesn't Ayane just look all sexy now. Also that's one arrogant smirk she has there.

DOA Versus VF sounds good to me. However, I want VF graphics and DOA gameplay "The VF characters can have the hard commands, but I want my DOA fighters to be button mashers". Next Hitomi looks so ditzy in her character select portrait, but am just glad she's still around. Can't wait for Lisa, Christie, Helena, and Tina.

Doa vs VF sounds interesting but I dont see DOA as much more than a button masher with boob physics, I am really hoping they make this new Doa more technical and challenging so that it will feel like I am earning my wins instead of out mashing the other guy.

I think that your post makes good sense, DOA isn't difficult to play at all, but i wonder if thats a bad thing ... its just nice to do all these flashy moves n stuff without them being so stressful like it is for me with BB. I wouldn't mind a bit more technicality with the fighting system.

On the other hand ... VF is tough ! IMHO, its the toughest fighting game out there :S, not easy at all, it would be nice if they found a way to tone it down a little bit, maybe make it much more accessible ?

Huh? tough? I don't think so... i mean, one button for punches, one for kicks, and one for block. Moves are just stick + button combinations just like Tekken. IMHO, and mind you, I play both Tekken and VF, those games are more into good usage of mind gaming, okizeme, and deep gameplay but not exactly execution killer. KOF it's more execution killer for instance. In VF and Tekken you still can win if you don't have great execution but know how to use properly the basic attacks, combos and features (low parry, punish whiffs, how to stand up in okis, etc.)

Ah ...

I dunno, i prefer tekken a lot of VF, because the moves are so easy to execute, so then i can focus on getting better at all the tactics. Also, switching characters is NOT easy in VF at all imho. I feel like it is so easy to pick up another character, almost anyone you want in tekken, its kinda not the same, the learning curve (for me) wasn't so good with VF.

yeah she always has an alternative costume without the jacket.
I am glad to see they are still going for alternative outfits, instead of crazy customization.

I hope they fix the horrible clipping hair of doa4.

So long as games are 3D, there'll always be clipping.

that's true, you can't fix it completely, but it also doesn't have to be this bad

Yeah that's really, really bad. I don't think even Virtua Fighter or Tekken have it that bad.

Dayum, I forgot how bad Kasumi and Kokoro's hair was in DOA4. Sheesh.

Not quite, for TTT2 anyway.
TTT2 - Lili / Asuka special winpose

Some quite noticable clipping when she spins around, but looks pretty good during normal movements unlike DOA4. Hopefully in DOA5 they at least get it so hair doesn't just go strait through there arms when standing still. Cheesy

Agrees strongly with this post/comment. n Tekken majority of the fighters play the same way and are accessible. Nina is my main, but I can also play with Lars, Lili, Hwoarang, Kazuya, Miguel, and a few others. In VF, I can ONLY play with Brad and Goh and barely at that. I do not speak for all, but I certainly speak for myself. VF is the MOST difficult fighter to master let alone play.
