ok .. im having a problem you guys ...
i cant seem to get better at this game !!! i just can't ! i love it but i cannot improve ... what do you guys do to get better Huh Help me out >.< please ...

In which fileds you think you're lacky? Do they keep you grounded or in the wall? Predicatble moves? Lack of punishment?

Anyways, some general tips:

1) abuse mid pokes that are safe on block. i.e.: Anna's df 1 2, Lili's df 2, Feng Wei's b3, etc.

2) most players tend to immediately counter attack after you attack them, either on block or in hit, so, to avoid in that typical give and take roll that normal avergae players have, you can either poke or hit then SS or backdash and make their usual counter attack whiff then PUNISH immediately!

3) back in poking, check which moves can give you blockstun and additional frames of attack, then proceed with a low attack or a grab. i.e.: Anna ff2, if blocked gives blockstun, then I proceed with df df 1 grab or df 4 low kick.

4) learn how to stand up. Do not rush in stand up and try not to do the same wake up movement, especially don't ALWAYS roll back after falling down! That's a typical n00b bad habit that caused them to be chewed on okizeme. Remain on the floor if you must, sometimes it is fine to take one hit on the ground, sometimes stand up normally tapping once up, sometimes kick high or lolw, sometimes roll back but with 1+2 together for a crosschop, sometimes do b 3+4 for a kuhadan stand up, etc.

more to come soon.

Some other tips for ya M~C.

1) Sidestep, sidestep, sidestep. I don't know how much to emphasize this. This is a 3D game. Most of the best pokes and dash attacks your enemy can do to you can be sidestepped. This leaves in a great position to grab them, do a quick combo, or do a launcher.

2) Know what your stuffing moves are.

3) Learn your best juggles and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! I can't put more emphasis on practice. The fact that you can punish harder than your opponent makes a HUGE difference. Especially when you take into consideration that you can on average take half their health on just one juggle. (And that's not even taking into consideration the wall stages and okizeme game.)

4) Learn your okizeme game. Know which moves deal with different wake-up options. Some deal with quick get-ups, while others trash side rolls, and which ones are good against back rolls. This makes a huge difference in your game and puts your opponent under a lot of pressure and pain.

5) Don't forget wave dashing. If you're using a character that has this ability by all means USE IT! It gets you close and under highs, and can even get you launchers.

BTW, it would help knowing which character you're using. Maybe someone here uses the same character you use and can give you some tips.

I wouldn't suggest using a lot of characters. It's hard enough to learn 2 for myself much less a bunch. I would suggest you stick exclusively with Lili and Nina and learn them well before playing anyone else. This way you can get a lot better with a better narrowed focus.

BTW, online co-op is garbage. Me and Sol gave that a go and that was a joke. Only 10 stages are available and they jacked up the difficulty up the ass. I guess it's still pretty useful for item grinding, but Bamco really shafted the SCM experience there.

I do suggest to learn at least the basic moves and combos of every character, while you don't need to master any, it is useful to get to know them more so you can learn to defend them properly. I dunno you, guys, but facing a character that I don't have a clue how to play with gives me a shit load of troubles to beat.

But yeah, master off like 2 or 3 charas to give you edge.

get whiffed one and you'll be punished badly... especially for some guy who is extremely patient and make you whiff (like some top chinese players). even some hop kicks are not THAT safe on block.

Besides, there's plenty of moves that i've seen trump a hop kick: mid pokes come to my mind and some jabs. I've been stopped on my tracks several times when I attempt to hop kick with uf4 with Feng Wei or King's and i get stopped and worse: JUGGLED! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF~!

I only can say hop kick is useful (very) but not a total abusable move.

It more of a sense that hopkick works better in this then it did in DR, but yeah if they block high it not safe.

Nina df1, 2 isnt as safe as anna.......actually I dont recall anna being safe either. Im sure you can sidestep.

Stuff I use with Nina is df+4, db+3, df1,2 1+4, b+1+4 (for whiff punish), ws1. To me, knowing her cancel from ss1~b isnt necessary but a benefit to know.

Come Sydney VV~ You probably see all the below average to average players just use Hopkick like 60 - 70% of times... goona kill pretty much most average players who have a decent understanding of the game~ Who needs mid pokes when you can just low and launch like that 50 - 50 game... Ridiculous... Noob... Yes... I know...

And I didnt say its abuseable... but it definitely can be abused more in BR then in DR... and LiLi has a fast hopkick...
Its pretty hard to bait a hopkick... and make it whiff when you are trying to set up or attack with a guy that doesnt totally play with the basic game...
And to think about it... on block you aint even goona eat as much damage as you eat from a launch... and I have seen quite a few players do it CAUSE they can and bait with frames... And its one of the most stupid things in the game...
Not all mids... beat hopkick... most df+1 dont... unless timed right... Jabs certainly get em... and even soo most of the time the float from the poke wont even lead to massive damage

About LiLi... she doesnt have pure safe launchers... except if you catch your opponent off frame... there are few instances where the range makes it safe if your opponent is a tad slow to punish...
IMO LiLi doesnt have a really strong offensive game but her oki and risky CHs... sorta makes up for it

anyways one of our Sydney players is in China right now... Name is Zhan Cheesy his been in quite a few places now.

Has anyone earned anything from the Super Roulette? If so, what can you get there? So far I can't catch anything.  Undecided

and as far as I know, there's plenty of missing items in the PS3 version from the arcade, especially pieces of hairstyle and some items (like Feng Wei's fedora or King's Mummy Mask).
