What joysticks to consider?

I want 4 buttons in a row for XB360 or PS3/USB & obviously for fightin games.
Out of the way, or disableable start button.
(The other aspects of a joystick make this unimportant but replaceable graphics and a right side joystick would be good too.)

It's Fanta, it's crap. Same with the stick Exar released 2 years ago.

Exar is releasing a new stick next month, full sanwa. Wait for that, or do yourself a favor and get a Qanba. Dual mod for as much as a Madcatz TE stick? Yes please.

Will I need to buy an octagon restrictor for Qanba?   Which ones are square circle or octagon?

They all come with square gates. You'll have to buy the octagon gate separate and add it yourself, which isn't hard to do.

Woo After too much research and these recommendations I got a VX-SA.  I got a good price back then.  Shortly after it was the ON.c King of Sticks.
Now I finally got a octagon gate which was too easy to install.  Focusattack 4tw!

Before the stick, with what free time there was it took like a month to learn how to force out the string of commands for a combo through a joybrick.  Now to relearn how to input in a man joystick.

On the VX-SA the start button looks like its close but its fine.

The top of many joysticks have a rotating ball.
Which tops won't rotate?

What do you mean? Most joysticks rotate, unless you mean the top screws off, which in that case, you need to tightly screw it in with a flathead screwdriver from the bottom.

The top twists independent of input movement but didn't unscrew.  I'm hoping for no twist.
