ANNOUNCE THIS AT E3 SEGA!

So quick rundown:

Game takes place almost 3 years after Yakuza 4, DS is non-canon BTW.
5 playable characters: Kiryu, Akiyama and Saejima return. New playable characters are Haruka and a baseball league dropout, Shinda.
Kiryu is now a taxi driver in Fukoka.
Saejima is serving a sentence in prison, and Akiyama seems to be looking for him.
Haruka wants to become an Idol, she is app. 16 years old in this game, her story takes place in Osaka apparently.
The game takes place in 5 cities, and will feature the biggest change in the series yet.

Yakuza 3 and 4 has some recap vids explaining the story and main characters from Yakuza 1 and 2. You can start it off from those without playing the PS2 games.

Well if you've watched Y4's ending it brings to question why he is in prison again; is he serving the remainder of his sentence or some such?
...or is he working undercover?
Most important of all, is Hana-chan chubby again? Skinny Hana is ugly Hana >=-(

From what i gather, after the ending and the advance game started, yeah, Hana got her extra bacon back. I luv her voice in KTV, though. Best voice of all the singers you can date with.

And shows the locations and the main characters for Y5.

- Saejima has his hair shaved.
- Akiyama looks exactly the same (well, better graphics style, but overall he's still the classy pimp)
- Kiryu got a new outfit that looks pretty cool on him (especially the suit with vest).
- Haruka is getting more and more... appealing to say the least.
- new character Tatsuo Shinada seems to be a baseball players of shorts.

Plus, 5 new locations... considering how they used the 4 motif in Yakuza 4, seems this title won't be any different, 5 playable characters and 5 cities. Osaka (Haruka), Sapporo (Saejima), Tokyo (Akiyama), Nagoya (Shinada) and Fukuoka (Kiryu).

Seems there's a plot summary and description of the characters in the site but... well, unfortunately it's in Japanese only.

^Yeah the 5 locations were known for a while.
Apparently Haruka won't be doing battles like the other four =/
It's speculated her battles might be a rhythm game...which is cool but I wanted to Komaki Parry with Haruka, would've been so sweet >_<

^This is indeed a thing.
Haruka will battle her opponents via a rhythm-action based dance-offs, learning moves that will eventually help her win an idol competition.
