This does warrant a bit of concern. Initially, it sounds good on paper, but unless it's restricted to one use per match, this will be exploited real fast.

Well gamespot finally posted a decently detailed preview.

So the clash/breaker system is sadly pretty abusable in its current form, but of course they're still working on it. Super meter is now 4 bars. Fights will be 1 round, but with 2 life bars. Character have a special unique meter/trait to them for exclusive powers. Examples used were Superman's being a short powerup mode, Harley's being she produces random item to use as an attack, and Wonder Woman being style switching (Superman sure sounds like he's the winner of those 3 traits). Also environment attacks they're thinking about having a option to turn them off or maybe stages that don't have them since they know some players will hate it.

After reading it my interest has definitely lowered. Going to wait and see how it all plays out. Sounds like it could be horrible if they're not careful.

I don't think every game needs to be super competitive and actually I wouldn't expect it at all from a comic book fighter.

I want this for the story mode more than playing others on it really. Assuming of course it's good but I think it will be.

Harley's original outfit had more thought in terms of design than this one. Her original outfit followed a motif to match that of the Joker-


In AA and this game, it's like called up Frank Miller for help in desiging her outfit and he told them 'MAKE HER A WHORE', and they went with it.
The Bad Girl/Prostitute/Skanky clothing they gave her feels uninspired as opposed to her original design.

Eh it's just Bats Punching and kicking, then kicking and punching, grab you with his BatGrapple hook then delivering a kick, while I'm not one to care much for cool looking supers...I wonder what's frame date will be like.

Apologies if I'm sounding negative but alas I may have got struck with the 'be cynical to a game that has just got announced' bug. Honestly, I think the game can end up good, NRS have done a good job with MK 2011 and I expect them to do the same here gameplay wise.
...I just don't like some of the character design choices...well at least they gave Wondy pants so that's a plus =3

The 'Breaker' should be a combination of how Burst works in BBCT+CSEX;
You have 1 Breaker per round, you get a disdvantage to using it (not something major like defense drop in CT), and if you're gonna use it, it's gonna have to count. They could make it so there's like a 'Golden Burst'-like effect to it as well.

Oh and I JUST remembered; Manhunter would be a perfect addition to the game-

They're aim is for "high level tournament", so the game does need to be a bit "super competitive" with balanced gameplay mechanics if that's the dev teams goal. Promises a strong story element that's not exactly like MK9's but just as good, if not better, than MK9's.

Ain't that cute. But I just don't put a lot of faith in their capability in that, MK9 just further proved it for me. Not that well balanced overall, still very fun to play and still stylish as all hell but not that fun to actually try to play high level. I expect the same from this.

Neither do I, but I still don't want mechanics potentially hampering even the casual aspect of there games. I guess DOA4's counter system would be a shining example of what I mean, it even ruined the single player side of things because of the controller reading AI. It's why I want to remain cautious until I see how these mechanics play out once they're finished.

Finished watching the interview, and I love what I see. Definitely my dream DC fighting game. Now, as I said previously, to wait for SDCC for more character reveals.

Not mentioned in the interview, but the game has hit trades thankfully. Not sure if it's been mentioned in anything posted or not here yet. One of the oddest things about there fighters finally fixed, hopefully kept in MK10.
