Haha, They are platform-tastic, Hows the weather up there?
I was just impressed by the costumes, never seen so much pleather outside of a pro-wrestling show
Out of interest, what's with all the platform shoes, is it simply a height inferiority complex thing? or just some cosplay stereotype thing I don't know about?

The Japanese have this little quirk about wanting correct height ratios. Since most of them are short as all get out (Most of the female profiles I see are between 160 cm and 170 cm), they increase their height as... well, like that with the platforms. The girls wear heels with..practically everything because it makes their legs look thinner and longer.
Example:
It looks utterly ridiculous IMO.

Ah, I see, kinda an uneccessary addition if its just to match the character's height as the platform addition kinda offsets the rest of the costume.
Surely if youre wanting to be hyper accurate to the point of matching height dimensions then you always want to be accurate to the point of "This character doesnt wear comical shoes."

Yes, it's always very disappointing to see people ruin what would otherwise be a great costume with massive platforms.
