Still comes to my mind CVS1 or 2... or the SF vs Marvel/X-Men. Nobody could conceive having so different fighting game styles into one hybrid.

but capcom vs snk in my opinion was good only for the capcom side. the snk character in the end just played like capcom chars and also capcom completely ignored those characters that makes kof so various like grapplers and "semi-grapplers" like blue mary, with the exception of vice maybe.

or probably I am just mad they placed leona in the background on a jeep with a power stone guy watching a rally race

ah ok, I didn't follow any other news about LP2.

but even if the character looks completely out of place, re5 gameplay (shooting everything, running around, no covering) would be a better match for lost planet.

anyway I guess we are still just talking about multiplayer skins.
