Princess Roxanne's Adventure Pt 1 and 2

Been playing some of old PC games and I decided to make a story out of one called King's Quest 4 where you play as King Graham's daughter Rosella (whom Roxanne represents). It will be a two parter. Part 1 has been done for a while so I'll post it first. King Graham is Gunter, Queen Valanice is Esmarelda, Prince Alexander is Gunter II, Genesta is Binky, Lolette is Jezebel, Edgar is Eduardo, Daventry is Saguaro Kingdom and Tamir is Congo Bongo Island.
Princess Roxanne’s Adventure Part 1 – The king might die in 24 hours. You must hurry to save him.
Prelude
Princess Log #1: My name is Princess Roxanne. A magical fairy named Binky is taking me to her island where a rare golden apple, which can heal anyone of their illnesses, is located. Of course there is nothing wrong with me I am fine and dandy but it’s my father King Gunter who needs it or he will die soon.
Chapter 0 - Flashback
It all began when I, my father, my mother Queen Esmeralda, and my brother Prince Gunter II were just having a family gathering in the Royal Chamber of the Saguaro Kingdom. Dad was holding his trademark Zorro-style adventure hat that he used to wear when he used to be a knight and telling us about his past life before he became king. Now that he was getting older, he stated he did not need to go running around on anymore magical quests and tossed his hat over to me and Gunter II. As soon as the hat had reached us midway, dad grabbed onto his chest in agony. He had just suffered a massive heart attack and it doesn’t look like he’ll last much longer. As we led him to his bed and watched in sorrow at his comatose state, I left the room crying as I could not bear seeing my father like this. I sat on his royal throne in despair and that’s when the magical fairy Binky came to me and told me of this magical golden apple that can cure my father of his ailment. Before we left, I decided to change my clothes to look like I am one of the commoners. I don’t want any of the people to recognize me as a person of royalty and alert anyone of my absence from the kingdom. A couple puffs of pixie dust and we were transported to Congo Bongo Island to retrieve this magical fruit. I hope that Dad can hang on until I get back. I just cannot let him die, he gave me life and I must repay him by saving his.
Chapter 1 – 24 hours to live
Princess Log #2: Upon arrival, Binky and I head over to her home. The evil witch, Jezebel had just invaded Binky’s home while she was away retrieving me. The magic ruby which contains the source of Binky’s power has just been stolen. Binky falls ill and says that if I don’t retrieve the magic ruby back in 24 hours, she will die and Jezebel will take over the island. So not only must I rescue my father, I must also rescue Binky and all of Congo Bongo Island.
Right now, I am standing on the beach. After absorbing the situation I am in, I guess east is where I will head to first. There is a pretty unicorn prancing around happily along the grass. It flies away it sees me. I must earn its trust somehow because I may need it to travel soon. As I am walking, I look north and I see a bridge where it looks like something is shining beneath it. I walk over to the bridge and look underneath and I see a golden ball. After picking up the ball, I walk a little bit further and I see a lily pond with a frog in it. Sometimes I wonder if everything that has happened so far is either or dream or nightmare because it looks like I see the frog wearing a crown. Lord knows that my favorite fairytale as a child was the Frog Prince and this looks too good to be true. I’ll assume that this frog just like golden things. I threw the gold ball at it returned the ball to me. With me being a princess, I just feel weird just thinking about that Frog Prince story. I pick up the frog and decided to kiss it. Just like in the story, the frog turns into a handsome prince. Too bad there won’t be any fairytale ending because the frog turned prince looks at me and berates me for being a commoner. He throws his crown on the ground and stomps off. What a jerk. I went out of my way to free him from his curse and not even a simple “thank you” for all my trouble? From here I’ll go south and I see a Cupid taking a bath in the pool. That bow and arrows of his looks like something I may need against that unicorn later on so I hope he doesn’t mind if I take them. I go over to them and pick them up. I accidentally scare Cupid away but it doesn’t matter. I got what I came here for. I got a bow and two arrows; I’ll meet the unicorn again hopefully.

Chapter 2 – Don’t call me Snow White
Princess Log #3: After getting the bow and arrows, I go back to the bridge and just east of it I see a little house in a tree. I look around the house and this place is a mess. Who in the hell lives in this god forsaken dump? This place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned up in months. I guess I’ll do whoever lives here a favor and clean up this pigsty. First I’ll sweep the floor then I’ll wash the dishes and put them away and make up the beds. I took care of the first two chores and as I go to make up the beds, I notice that there are actually seven of them and they are small. For a place called Congo Bongo Island, it should have been named Fairytale Island instead because I have a feeling that the seven dwarves will be coming home any minute now. I’m just exaggerating the part about the dwarves but after that Frog Prince ordeal I wouldn’t be surprised. Sure enough, after I finished cleaning up the place, a group of seven dwarf miners arrive at their house. They were impressed with how I tidied up their place and they gave me a bowl of soup as a reward.
After they left to do more mining, there was pouch of diamonds on the table. One of them must have left it there by accident. I decided to leave the house and go over to the diamond mine where they were working. I made my way down to the lower level where the head dwarf whom I assume is Doc and gave him the pouch of diamonds. Doc was impressed with my kindness to a point where he let me keep the diamonds and also gave me a lantern. After I left the mine and headed east, I see a bird trying to pull a worm out of its hole. The bird flew away as soon as it saw me and did not get its meal. I guess I’ll take the worm for myself. I may seem like a hoarder but as my dad has taught me about his adventures is that even the tiniest little thing I collect can help me in the long run. Once I have the worm in my possession, I go north and I see what looks like a Haunted Mansion. Haunted Mansions... BAH! Everybody knows that there are no such things as ghosts, vampires, goblins and all that stuff but with the existence of fairies and dwarves, I guess it’s possible.
Chapter 3 – Music not to my ears.
Princess Log #4: I entered the haunted mansion and I see a clock. Upon viewing the time, I can see that I am still early in my quest. I went over the parlor room on the left and here I see a bunch of books on the bookshelf. I figure I got a little bit of time to kill so I think I’ll read the Shakespeare book. I’ve been walking all day and I can rest my wee little legs because I know I got more traveling to do. Before I read I notice sometime thing weird about that portrait over the fireplace. The eyes seem to be looking at the wall on the left. Another thing my dad taught me is that if something looks strange, always investigate it carefully. As I examine the left wall, I see a tiny little switch. I pull on it and a secret door opens. Inside the secret room is a shovel for the taking. After I got the shovel, I went on upstairs and what I nifty little organ they got here. It won’t hurt to play a song on it. It’s still day time so I guess the place is not haunted yet. Once I was done playing the organ, I left the haunted house and vowed to come back during nightfall.
To the west, I see a minstrel playing such awful music on his lute (pear-shaped banjo). I went over to him to strike up a little conversation. He says he was glad to find someone who loved his music. Pfft!! Whatever! He continues to play this god awful music and I wish I was inside of a building so I can ram my head to a wall. I tell him to stop playing and gave him the Shakespeare book I had taken from the haunted castle so he could have a quieter hobby. To save the people from having to hear that annoying music again, I confiscated his lute. Over to the north I see a fisherman house. There is a little boy named Pan who likes to dance and play his flute. At least he got better talent than that awful minstrel. We play a duet as I play the lute and he plays the flute. Pan is very astonished with the lute I am playing and he stops playing his flute. He begs me to let him have the lute so we exchange instruments and I leave the fisherman’s house with as Pan was excited about his brand new instrument.
Chapter 4 – Behind the Waterfall
Princess Log #5: I head south for 2 miles then I look east and I see a waterfall. What a lovely little waterfall it is. I wonder what is behind it. Let's find out. Damn, this current is too strong for me to swim through. If only I was something smaller then I could get through. THAT’S IT! I still have that crown that that rude prince gave to me not too long ago. I put it on, and “POOF!” I am a frog. Now I can swim against the current and see what lies beyond that waterfall. I swim through it and I see what looks like a cave. I guess I won’t need this crown anymore so I’ll take it off. Something tells me I should take this board and in the meantime, I will light up this lantern. As I walk in the cave, I hear a loud growling sound. No, that is not my stomach but it sounds like there is a troll in here. I just have to match my steps carefully and hope he doesn’t see me or I’m a goner. I already see a pile of bones over there. I’ll just take one for later use. Now I just got to go south and make my way out of this cave. The troll is giving chase but luckily he is too slow, I make it to a piece of vine in the nick of time and swing to safety while the troll stumbles into a ditch. HAHA SUCKER! Whew! That was close. I come across a chasm that is very long. It is time to use that board to get across. Now that I am on the other side of the chasm, I’ll take the board back and exit stage north where I see an opening.
Now that I am outside, I come across a swamp when a bunch of marshes. I jump through the marshes and there is one final march that is too far for me to jump. I put the board back down but I have to stop halfway because there is a snake on the other side. I’m glad my name is not Indiana Jones. Time for me to take out the flute I got from Pan and charm it. Good! The snake is in a little trance. Now I can cross the board and get to the last marsh. YIPEE! I got the magical golden apple. I better get a move back to the other side before that snake recovers. I make my back through the cave and I still see the troll still struggling to get out of the ditch. I make my way of the cave and now it is time to get away from this place once and for all. I jump into the waterfall and let the current sweep me away and now I can swim to dry land. I am so glad I got the magical golden apple and my father can be saved. However, my task is only halfway over. I still have to recover Binky’s magic ruby for that evil witch Jezebel or she will die and Jezebel will take over the island. If Binky dies then I’ll be stuck here on Congo Bongo Island and my father will die anyway. Mother... Father... Brother... Binky... Congo Bongo Island... I swear I will not fail you all. I will save all of you even at the cost of my own life if necessary. Jezebel, get ready to meet your maker because I am coming straight at you and I’m taking you down.
End Part 1. TOO BE CONTINUED...

I like how you incorporated game elements into the story (hoarding ridiculous items and, earlier in the story, using the cardinal directions to describe where you're going). I also like how you portray the character. She doesn't believe the things happening right in front of her, finds out they're true, and STILL denies the plausibility of the situations that occur later. She's humorously stubborn.
