I agree with you, Raging Hawk. I still think that Tenchu has one of the best OSTs I've heard.

That makes three of us, Tenchu's OST was one of the best.

Other favorites of mine I won't mention all at once since it would make a pretty big list.

Streets of Rage 1 and 2 the first few stages from both games those were the best.
Actraiser on the SNES the moment when one of the civilizations invent music to honor the dead has one of the best songs ever.
Phantasy Star 4 particularly the remixes of the old songs from the first game were the best ones, the final boss song was pretty good too.
KoF '96, '99, '00, XI and 2k2UM nuff said
Samurai Shodown Just about every game has at least one excellent music (Even the 3D games)
Silent Hill series I think I don't need to explain this, SH wouldn't be so good if it weren't for the soundtrack
Daikatana Ok the game was crap but the soundtrack was pretty good
R-Type I'd say mostly R-Type 3 and Delta had the best soundtrack in the series, 3 had great remixes of the classic tunes and Delta had plenty of awesome music.
Castlevania Just about anything Michiru Yamane made is golden even the soundtrack of the 3D games on the PS2 is damn good
Descent 2 Really good soundtrack and it even had Type O Negative in it.

There's still others but i'll stop for now.

Yeah, he's awesome. The sounds he produced from the humble Amiga were outstanding.
