KOFXII - Ryo vs. Robert

So, who do you guys think is better? Damage among both seem to be about the same, but Robert has way better combo ability with his command normals and much more range on his standing CD, making it alot easier to hit confirm into Ranbu. Ryo's CD seems to come out faster and have a bit bigger of a hitbox on the other hand and seems to beat out alot of normal moves.
Obviously in a fireball war, Robert wins here since his travel.
Ryo on the has a very nice overhead that knocks down. Robert's low kick command normal is really good and leads into combo's. I think Ryo's DP might have slightly better recovery time than Robert's, but it seems like Robert's has alot more range. Robert's Hien seems harder to punish compared to Ryo's not to mention comes out way faster, but Ryo can juggle after his in the corner.
Then there is Ryo's Zanretsuken vs. Robert's Ginei Kyaku. If Ryo's Zanretsuken had autoguard during the start-up like in previous games, I'd think it would be the better of the two, but the range on it is not good, while Robert's is way better, and can trap foolishly jumping or rolling opponents much easier than a Zanretsuken.
Robert's best tool IMO is his new j.4D, really good move to use when an opponent is in wake-up, and works quite well in CC's when you want some easy damage.
I personally think Robert is way better, he has more tools available to him, and can fight well at long/mid range, and is just as effective as Ryo who needs to be very close.

From what I remember in a tier list, Robert outstands Ryo in the list, precisely from some of the traits you've mentioned.
Seems he's a lot more dynamic than Ryo, but Ryo still looks solid in gameplay.

On the last tier list I saw from Arcadia magazine, they ranked Ryo higher than Robert which I thought was weird, but maybe it could be because Ryo's CC initiator comes out faster. I'm not sure.
Have you gotten to play XII yet Vecta?

Well as i played the arcade and the console version( PS3 version ) i will say that the console version is arcade perfect
Except that they removed one of Ralf combo which could have conduct to an infini combo ( "Repeatly A", D and so on ).

What I mean is the fact w/ an arcade around, he gets local competition, and we all know how awesome KOFXII online is.

I like them two but Ryo is more fast and his antair is to good. Robert it's more stratagic character.
