One of my biggest peeves with manga releases in the West is censorship. Alot of Viz's titles are censored, especially if they are Shonen Jump.

It does annoy me in Eyeshield 21 when Viz tone down Hiruma's language. Usually, I don't like vast use of the f-word, but in certain places, it's acceptable and even necessary to use it excessively.

Examples include:
Hiruma Youichi
Malcolm Tucker
Jamie MacDonald

I am not too sure about this. scans and fansub for me made the whole industry make a huge boost. I ended up buying manga and dvds of series I already read/watched that I would have never bought otherwise.

I agree with this. I have bought most chapters of Eyeshield 21. I probably wouldn't have known about most of the fantastic stuff in it that the abysmal anime missed out or replaced with filler or other crap if the scans weren't available.

As for Sengoku Basara. It's good to see Hideyoshi, but unless Honda Tadakatsu returns, I'll pass.

I personally thing anyone who likes that anime should be strapped down to a chair and forced to watch Gun X Sword to see how much better work the same director's done.

Well, I like my fair dose of both Real Robot and Super Robot anime, do I still need to be strapped down? D:

I thought CG was pretty good in terms of both story and mecha action :x

I think season 1 was pretty good and deserves a good score. smart character with strong power like death note, nice strategies during battles and all. I would give it a 8,5/10

the second one messed up completely with the battles, no strategy of sort, ultra strong robots just for merchandising, useless characters appearing one after another and most important of it the story doesn't make any sense, lelouch fought for revenge in the first series but this point is screwed up in the middle of the second series.

for me code geass 2 deserves a 1/10 because it completely waste the good parts of the first one.

Waiting for the next episode of Gundam Unicorn. Anybody followed that too??? That's the only new anime that still I followed. Dont know why I lost interest in many new anime these days.

Voice actor Robert O. Smith passed away last week after a battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. He was 67. Smith had performed the English dubbing role of father/panda Genma in the anime series Ranma ½, as well as Kaijinbo in Inuyasha, D in the Project A-Ko OAVs, and other roles. Seattle-based Smith was an animation enthusiast, creating and voice acting his own comedic short animations under the name Thorndike Pickledish. He also was a wrestling and power-lifting enthusiast, and occasionally a DJ.

Damn. And I actually liked his english voice acting a lot as Genma back in my childhood days. R.I.P. great man.

I finished watching himitsu the revelation (I talked about this anime probably already on the previous cx but couldn't find any sub after episode 17 not even dvds on ebay).

I reallly really recommend this series if you are into csi/criminal minds stuff.

Well I started watching three very interesting shows -

Neo Ranga: Interesting plot concept and art, definitely seems like it could be fun

Master of Mosquiton: interesting and creative vampire story

Kemonozume: I think this is what you'd call arthouse anime, the story is kinda Romeo and Juliet. Only Romeo is a demon hunting samurai and Juliet is a demon. Pretty strong sex and violence but the animation's weirdness is the most striking thing about it.
