Okay, I finished the game.
I don't have too much to add to what I said before, I greatly enjoyed it. The puzzles got more complex and elaborate, the battles got more testing but like most action games I had got past the learning curve so it didn't get that hard, but it's still not an easy game, you do have to learn how to play it well.
My view of the ending is, well it's interesting, and kinda different. I can see why it would make fans of the series all up in arms but, Mercury Steam strike me as being quite maverick when it comes to storytelling; I'm prepared to see where they go with it. It's good that there is a sequel already planned as they have a lot of explaining to do.

Almost gotten my Platinum trophy and all I have to say is that the only thing that drove me to actually finish the game was the story (even though I already knew what was going to happen). This game really is a mixed opinion from me for several reasons but the main reason is that I totally felt like I was playing a Dante's Inferno 2. The music is ANNOYING since it sounds like you listen to less than five tracks throughout the entire game and my favorite track in the game is a remix of a Castlevania track. The battle system was also medicore in my opinion simply because almost all enemies and bosses had a similiar pattern. You just keep smacking them until they try to hit you and you either block, parry or dodge and if you attack them too much, they will block and prepare an unblockable attack if you keep hitting them. Other than that then there are the titan battles which are all basically the same.
Some things that are good about the game is that the makers try to make the game less frustrating with trivial shit. By the time you finish the game, you will have almost everything you need so you don't have to grind for trophies and such. Finishing backtrack missions (find keys, etc) make you end up right where you can continue so you don't really have to run all the way back and waste time and energy. Beating the game on a higher level equals to you beating all lower difficulties automatically as well so no grinding there other than for the unlockable difficulty.
The save system is horrid, that's all I have to say. Voice acting is awesome. Graphics are great.
In the end of the day, I consider this game a pretty good (well seems alot of people think it's more than pretty good) action adventure game but it's just not Castlevania unless you count the middle chapters. Speaking of chapters, chapter 1 and 2 were BORING and it seems alot of people tend to agree with me. So if you're about the give up on playing the game while in those chapters, it does get better later.
Since a sequel is in the works, I hope they IMPROVE alot of things and make it have more Castlevania elements because if the sequel is going to be the exact same then I'm probably just going to wait on IGA games, if he still makes them.
P.S. Gabriel "Belmont" is awesome.

I would've prefered the same LoS team, just have IGA as director. Also I forgot to mention this but I enjoyed the chess mini game in the game more than the actual game itself. Kinda says alot huh?
And there's info on the DLC now. Gabriel goes back to the castle with Laura. Sounds interesting.
