Teaching is a noble vocation!  I just wanted the kid to sound like as much of an Ayn Rand-reading little bastard as possible. (He's named after a certain videogame blogger who writes very, very serious essays about one-credit playthroughs and quotes Nietzsche far more than somebody writing exclusively about video games really deserves to.)

well, yeah, the abuse of the language in those blog entries (or the one portraying the character Pat) sound extremely ridiculous! I mean, as much you are educated and versed in the language you simply can't go in quoting Nietzsche (big follower of him btw) in reviewing a game, no? Sometimes as a fun reference it is fine but... in a serious manner? Don't expect the guy to be taken seriously.

BTW, any link to the real life blogger who writes that serious shit? I guess that'd be a good laugh (or a serious headache if you try to make heads or tails out of it).

This arc is proving to be a little harder to write than I anticipated.  We'll see how it turns out, though.

Oh, and VV: I never really thought of the redhead as myself.  Maybe he's just a very exaggerated facet of my personality?
