M_C, check out my combo vids in the first post, they contain combos you can use in a match.
The timing for canceling normals in this game takes some time to get used to. I personally find that canceling normals in this game reminds me of the Alpha games, only not as strict.
Once you've got the timing down it's smooth sail from there. Just try to avoid doing any complex links like Cr. B, Cr. B-->QCFx3+C with Dong, it's possible but may be tough to pull off.

Canceling normals is a bit strict, especially into supers. But thankfully for most of the cast, you have brake moves and counter hits that make it alot easier to combo into them. <3

Wow !! This game is actually awsome ! i didn't realise how awsome it was. I never knew about the just defends and i definately didn't know that some moves are cancelable ... so i messed around with the game in MAME and i have to say that the game is just WOW ... you totally see it from another point of view once you know about the cancelations and the just defends, which i do not know how to do XD !! so please, enlighten me.

Welcome to knowing the awesomeness of Garou, M_C.
Just defends are pretty simple, it's just blocking at just the right time, not that different from parries in Streetfighter III. Just Defends have a few advantages, they give you a little health back and allow you to cancel into a lot of moves. The cancelling aspect isn't really hard either, just input the move during the just defend animation.
It's all down to timing really, like a lot of things in fighting games are.

Each character has at least 1 move they can Break (cancel)-
Rock: 360+C
Terry: DP+K
Dong: DP+P
Jae Hoon: Charge Dwn, then Up+K
Hotaru: QCB+K
Gato: DP+K (and QCB+K I think, but the timing on that is very tricky)
Kevin: QCF+K
Tizoc: RDP+C and QCB+D
Freeman: HCF+P when it grabs
Hokutomaru: QCF+K
Kain: Charge Dwn then Up+K and Charge Back then Fwd+D
Grant: DP+P
Butt: DP+P

Hokutomaru can also brake his QCFx2 P super if I recall correctly.

In a way yes, though one would only ever do that if the opponent Just Defended the first part of the super, and didn't want the opponent to regain health.
BTW IIRC, certain attacks will let you recover more health if they are JDed. For example, JDing Grant's QCFx2+P super will recover a good chunk of health for you @_@.

There is another canceling you can do which is Feint Cancel. Feint Cancel is canceling of normal moves with feints. It is helpful in normal move recovery, buffering moves, creating combos with them, and mix ups. The feints are f + AC or d + AC.
For Jenet you can do standing C FC to d + AC cancel to dash then repeat

Does Tizoc b,d,db + C and qcb + D counts as a backdash? Also are you vulnerable after the back dash end?
