In the end, it's all irrelevant when you feel like shit because of someone else. I said that I felt like a ghost, but at least ghosts get to make a fuss with chains and bleed through power sockets and star in movies. I am completely irrelevant to everyone around me, and for some reason, I can't help but feel that way about the people around me. I'm too old for this antisocial shit, but I feel that I've been heartbroken way too much, and took it in the head way too much to give it all another chance or whatever. Everything that I thought would change my life was for nothing, and everyone I thought would change my life did, but then...

Heh... look, in my childhood and youth I was always the freak, the fag, the weirdo, the artsy type that many people can bully easily. My views are different from others, until this day i dress uniquely (I found it out last night when i went out to the bar here in SH, most men around my age dressed up plainly and sobered up while me with my fedora, my suspenders, loose tie, all different and how weird they looked at me) ask me if I care... i might be weird but I know i'm not looking bad, just... different.
That's me, Don Vecta, this is the way i dress, the way i like to be and the way I think and am. The people who is with me it's because they want to. I guess confidence it's always a good magnet to get you quality people who can understand you, accept you or... in the worst of the scenarios, at least respect you as you are. People who can't even respect you then fuck'em all! You don't need them. Seriously.
Oh... but also remember to be respected, you must respect too. If you are an opinionated person who also go waving the flag of "if you hate me, i hate you" like an angry teenager, well, sure you're not going any closer to let people try to know you, understand you and respect you. Treat people like the way you wanna be treated.

heh... really, this is NOTHING of what could come later in life, bro. At my 32 been broken hearted more painfully and with more scars than anything... and here I am, man! Really, take it in the chin, move on and consider it as part of the life itself.

Really, shit could be a lot worse and you know it, man! Smiley

As for me... well, now... my girl's going to our old town (Guangzhou) to do a 2 month job there. I'll miss her and all... even though there's been a lot of troubles recently that put my short patience and my temper to test. There's many things to share out there... but with time I'll post some shit out here.  I still have a lot of shit to improve in my own life.... Sad

This, This, a thousand times this.

There's far too many people who are unhappy with themselves but think it's a super cool solution to just be total jerks to everybody, I find this is especially true online where anyone can escape from their real lives and play whatever character they choose.
People being falsely arrogant, cool and aggressive on the internet, or around friends, then crying themselves to sleep at night.
Step 1 is to strengthen your conviction so you don't lower yourself to the level of the people that bring you down, so you're always "The bigger man" about situations, so to speak.
Step 2 is to keep on doing it, and keep on doing it, and keep on doing it.

It's about being true to yourself. Sticking to your morals and beliefs with conviction and pride.
If you choose to do this, you WILL find that you will stand alone often, as people would much rather follow, or be accepted by, "the crowd" but, in the end, the people who matter will stick with you, it may only be a handful of people, or even less, but in this post-Facebook 30000 mates society, quality is much superior than quantity.

Ryth, no-one is "completely irrelevant", everyone has an impact of the lives of someone.

Ok, incoming vent ... and why this week is off to a *ahem* great start.

So okay, I went to work like I usually do, not a problem, it wasn't too busy and there weren't any stuck up students who think they own the joint, but before going home I stopped by the bathroom to pee, the security saw me heading to the bathroom ... or SO I THOUGHT she did, before coming out of the bathroom the lights went out I hurried out (in the dark) only to see that the security rushed herself out, locked the door and ran to the bus stop leaving me behind. I tried banging the door in hopes she would hear me, but no luck.

So after a minute I noticed that I might be able to climb out a window, so I did, but on the outside there's a little pool of water and no window was close enough to the ledge of the pool, which left me no choice but to get water in my boots and worst thing is, my socks were brand new and the jeans I was wearing had just been washed and no one knows what else could be in that water, so after my "daring escape from the library" which was seen by one of the girls from my class (just so everyone will hear about it on wednesday), so I go to my car so I can go home, put my boots, my socks and my pants to dry, wash my feet and maybe eat out right? ... RIGHT?

Fuck no, as I started my car I realize the line to get out of the campus was HUGE and it wasn't moving because some fuck off's car at the exit had broken or crashed or something it wasn't moving, in fact, before getting in line I stopped close to it, turned off the car turned on the stereo and just tried to chill (well at least my feet where chilling in the acount of all the water I couldn't get out) while I heard some music, took about ten minutes to the line start moving and I could go home, only so I can to realize ... Boy, what a promising week this is going to be, hell seeing how the week already started like this, boy, I can't wait to see what's coming later this week!

Okay, i'm not PISSED about it, but more like, aprehensive about the situation and how the week already started by flat out sucking, in fact i'm more like specting the worse.

Good Thread!

Well, it's been really stressful for me lately. Between working and commuting to 3 different jobs at completely different sides of my city, to being able to only see my wife a few days per week, to having to deal with superiors whom you KNOW you are smarter than, things have gotten a little difficult. Welcome to the working world, I guess. Sucks though, because I hardly have enough time to play games or even surf the net. It's limited to about an hour a day, all the free time I've got.

BTW Vecta, I know all about the drilling! It's a real problem in this country right now. I once had to teach a class where some guys were working on the classroom next door, and I had to speak at the top of my lungs for 80 minutes. The students still couldn't hear me, and all I got out of that waste of time was a massive headache and a lost voice.

Hang in there this last semester, M. You know there's bigger and better chances as soon this semester it's over. Just hang in there. Smiley

Oh, has Ada contacted you? There's a proposal out there.

I spoke with her this morning. Unfortunately, it looks like that job will cut into my time with Zheng Zi Bu. I'll give you a call later tonight after I'm done there and we can talk about it.

I know it's not a serious problem, but I spend two hours to figure out how to play HD mkv on 360. I had to configure windows media center on both pc and console and I can just stay that's the shittiest player ever made. I installed a ton of suggested codecs obviously.

Finally I tried to run an mkv on 360 streaming from pc and guess what it ask me to do the mp4 update. yes, that makes sense. it's like modern warfare 2 asking you to install a halo 3 update. anyway after downloading it actually runs a mkv. I am overjoyed for the first Hd anime I can get working on 360 but after a few minutes I notice that the f@#[ing subtitles are missing and there's no way to select them (you can select 5 levels of zoom, but you can't run subtitles, that's great). aaah.... I'll just continue using my notebook connected to the tv.

Lol ... it might not be a problem but you know its like one of those little things that cause a chain of events that completely screw up your day. Like today ... i woke up to find that the guy who comes and cleans my room all the time decided to skip my room today and i have a lovely display of mini-garbage bags decoration next to my bed. THEN i try to get into the kitched to cook something and maybe do some laundry as i am cooking and guess what ? The kitchen door won't open Smiley ... how i LOVED my life back then. So i decided screw it and go take a bath ... i enter the bathroom to find that the shower hose was torn off and i was forced to bathe using a bucket ... and now i am extremely pissed off and plan on throwing a fit at the stupid wardens for being so fucking irrisponsible. Im a 4th year student, im not supposed to go around and pick on the flaws in the highly overpayed dormitory room, thats NOT my job !! im here to get As and distance myself from the world. God ...

Minor vent (trust me this isn't as big a deal as it seems despite the wall of text)

Well, sooner or later I would have to do it, my car is at the mechanic's to fix all the dents and re-paint where it was damaged, sure the car was already a little damaged even before I started using it, so it really was just a matter of time. But boy, it hasn't been a day without my car and I already miss that red Palio with bitching stereo.

Why do I miss it so bad? Well, sit down and listen up i'll be a little more educated about this little weird country called Brazil.
Most of the cities in Brazil relies on only one method of mass-transportation, the bus, because a long time ago some president decided that riding the busses and cars on the road was way more charming than a train therefore Brazil has some serious transportation and road issues because the construction of any rail system stopped leaving only the roads which now are plagued with trucks and cars on the trains are a rare sight that usually run within a very limited portion of a city or two (when there actually is any train). With a few exceptions most cities don't have a subway system, train system or anything on-rails to move around hundres of people all at once, making the bus which can squeeze about 70 people tops the only option.

Now since i'm aware that I won't have my car for a week I know that I have to leave for work even earlier so I can catch the first bus heading to the downtown station then get the bus to the north station and last but hardly least the bus to the campus, my shift starts at 6:30 PM, I leave home and reach the bus stop just outside my apartment at 5:10 PM the first bus takes more than half an hour to arrive (believe you me I counted) I reached the downtown station 6 o'clock PM sharp, which i'm lucky enough to find a bus that skips stopping at the north station and heads straight to the college campus, now the bus just sits around for 15 minutes and traffic at that particular time is a fucking bitch, so to make a long story shorter, I arrive at 6:40 PM, now either this was an unlucky first day or I might have to start leaving for work at 4:30 in order for me to arrive early.

Moral of the story ... taking the bus SUCKS.

Moral of the story ... taking the bus SUCKS.

Preach on.

I did have a slightly similar case but a lot lighter.

My current rusty bicycle now it's singing its last opera and after some things that all together makes it worth dumping (chain yanking pretty often, brakes failing badly and a flat tire) well... i decided not to use that piece of shit anymore.

Now here's the dilemma: while a new bicycle it's not so expensive, here the bicycle thefts are rampant and I don't feel like being jacked in the first fucking day of getting a brand new one. Buying a second hand rusty won't last too long just like the old one (this one lasted less than 2 months, just as reference). So now I don't know what to buy.

In the meantime now I have to walk to go to my schools... which means waking up earlier and waste time on the go.
