The PVC/Resin Statues and Toy Collectibles Thread
« on: 28 of April of 2010, 03:46:26 pm »

V-Slasher, one of our active members since CX 2.0 had a very impressive PVC collection thread that lasted for about (dunno?) until the website updated to 3.0. I consider myself a huge collector of PVC/resin kits since my time of the late 90's Anime Era and have about plenty of rare stuff on my home ranging from Epochs, Max Factory, Banpresto, Bandai, AliceSoft, Kayodo, and among others that have cost me up to an arm and a leg off my wallet to get them imported.

Well, to kick off this thread in the appropriate matter I'll start off the post with 2 interesting KOF resin kits that began sale exclusively on Hobby Round 2 @ Ikebukuro, Tokyo on September 20th 2009

Volks 1/6 Scale Figure KOFXII - Elisabeth Blanctorche Resin Kit
Retail Price: 10,500 YEN (about $100+ USD)

Volks 1/6 Scale Figure KOF2002 Unlimited Match - Mature Resin Kit
Retail Price: 10,500 YEN (about $100+ USD)

I had these scavenged crazy like I did to find the now Ultra-Rare Epoch C-Works Dirty Pair Yuri & Kei Complete Cold-Cast Resins (both valued at $233.60) which TBH I have on my shelf.

I'm no collector, but that Betty statue is awesome and I wouldn't mind having one.

I also found one of Juri http://iplaywinner.com/storage/thumbnails/2739927-5444584-thumbnail.jpg

Wow, those Elizabeth and Mature statues are purdy as all hell.

Shame Resin kits are bloody expensive though, no way can I buy that kinda thing  Cry

yeah I really enjoyed collecting pvc and prepainted resins a couple of years ago. I am not buying much nowadays because they become too much expensive and duties are a pain where I live.

there are some interesting resin kits for kof girls but they hardly get converted to pvc and I am no good at painting them. there are some online shops that send you a painted and assembled kit but the only "trustable" site I found was gathering http://www.e2046.com/gathering.php. The Rider resin I bought from them is a true masterpiece http://athrun.altervista.org/ridergath/rider.htm

As far as resins and PVCs are my concern and that also toys are subject of collectivity, you can go right ahead.

Just as long as this thread is kept orderly clean (otherwise the "Spoiler" tag is your friend) Smiley

So can I post my Palace Guard Theron from GOW 2?

Love his details and colors, he can move the arms, knees, head and his torso
the only part I dont like are his huge boots

dunno if this count as a resin toy

My friend gave me the special edition controller's master chief as a gift

he cant move but I really love the green color armor

Im still looking for an EVA Spartan Armor or a green hayabusa armor

I have that kuradoberi jam, too, very nice piece. a pose like that could never be done on pvc without some really ugly stand. I miss hotaru definitely!

she's very cool if you place her alone somewhere, but if you place near some other statue it looks very out of place (it won't pair up well with your jam and hotaru). her size with the stand will be taller than anything while shiki's body is actually a bit smaller than other 1/8 scale.
anyway if you like the character like me, it's a must buy.

as much as I like dead space, you can't give priority to Isaac over Samus!
