Big changes for this latest addition of the 2D fighting series include an expanded roster of characters (32 – up from 24) and two new game modes – Challenge and Time Attack.
Most importantly, though, King of Fighters i 2012 packs wi-fi multiplayer for both ranked and unranked battles between friends and randoms.
Rosters
The new characters come from the Art of Fighting, Psycho Soldier, Kimn, and Ikari teams, while two more characters, Kyo and Iori, are available via IAP, according to the app description.
If you liked the trading cards element of the first title, then you’ll also be pleased to know that there are now even more cards and illustrations, as well as “rough sketches” of the series exclusive to this iOS outing.
The King of Fighters i 2012 is an iPhone-only title, priced at £4.99 / $6.99. The original game has had its price slashed in celebration of the 2012 edition going live, and can be nabbed for £2.99 / $4.99

Don’t forget to watch PowerUp 2012, another major for Road to EVO season today! Oh yeah, the amount of great combo videos of The King of Fighters XIII hasn’t stopped yet, and once again KOF XIII Champion and combo maker B.A.L.A. released a new CMV featuring mind blowing combos of Terry, Andy, Joe, Kyo and Robert. This is a must watch video.
A Japanese community delivered an all-character 100% damage combo video in The King of Fighters XIII. While some combos are already outdated or improved by other combo makers, this video still delivers some nice surprises that any KOF XIII enthusiast will love.

Korean combo maker REALKYO released a 100% damage team combo video featuring K’ Team. One combo per character but good enough to watch for the fans of this trio.
They’re back! And this time the Spanish duet of combo makers formed by Tigre III and Krusan deliver their first work of The King of Fighters XIII with some amazing and creative combos. Lots of stuff never seen before. Worth a watch.
Well, here comes a nice update, a new combo video by Orochinagi finest Dark Chaotix, this time releasing the 2nd volume of K’ entitled Dash Edition. It’s a brief combo video but with groundbreaking set ups that will please any KOF XIII fan.
